Amanda Murray is a Senior Staff Officer in the Graduate School, based in the Research Hub Building on the Athlone Campus. She is responsible for the academic life-span of research Masters and PhD students and oversees the implementation and maintenance of academic arrangements for postgraduate research studies, including recruitment, registration, progression and examinations.
Amanda joined TUS in April 2001 and came from the Faculty of Engineering to the Graduate School in 2019. With stints spent in HR and the Quality Assurance Office she has always returned to working with students. Her wealth of experience in dealing with students and their academic and personal well-being is an asset to the Graduate School.

Tara Carty is an Assistant Staff Officer, within the Graduate School, based in the Research Hub Building on the Athlone Campus. She is also a TUS Disclosure Officer with the Ending Sexual Violence and Harassment Network.
With four years of experience in education, Tara joined the TUS Graduate School in 2023. She enjoys working with students from the start to the end of their academic journey. The Graduate School and Research Hub is a welcoming environment for all, she enjoys meeting students throughout her day both within the postgrad rooms or in the social area. Tara sits on the TUS Green Campus Committee and is passionate about making university practices more sustainable.

Mark Shiels is a Clerical Officer within the Graduate School, based in the Graduate Research Office on the Moylish campus. He is responsible for interacting with students, daily admin within the graduate schools, working on events, liaising with faculty and external examiners.
Mark graduated with an MSc in Interaction and Experience Design from UL in 2024. He also holds a BSc in Interactive Digital Media which he obtained here in TUS in 2021, where he was also part of the college basketball team that won the All-Ireland Championship in 2019.
